I have a friend who wants to sell me beers he bought a year ago, the beers are mostly American ipa's, like heavy seas loose cannon, arrogant bastard, racer 5, etc. How do these beers age, are they still gonna taste good?

I've heard all the talk about aging beer, but cant find any real definite info, so what beers age well, how do you if a beer will age well. Whats the shelf life for most beers?

Just came back from premier, shit that stores amazing, bought some stone arrogant bastard and ruination, dogfish, victory storm king, loose cannon and a variety of others, declared a case,(actually had about 30) and had to pay a duty of 25 bucks. not bad, definitely worth the trip. just wondering an...

Beer Recomendations
With an impending trip to buffalo, I decide to ask for some help recomending some good beer, pretty much going for US micros, I've tried DFH 60 & 90, Bear Republic Racer 5, Stone Double Bastard & Ruination. Im looking for other beers in a similar vain, whats good out there?
