That seems like a price in order to keep it in stock so they can say they have it.

Re: General LCBO Debate & Discussion Thread

Ha! I got that email too and just immediately deleted it. Kind of funny they have the teaser in an email titled "Ready for the long weekend?" I still have a bottle in my cellar that I'm no closer to opening that since I bought it, so I'll let others grab this! Would be nice if BCBS came ba...

Re: San Francisco

Thanks for the update on Magnolia. One of my all-time favourite places to have a beer, at their o.g. Haight Ashbury location. Looks like the new owner is a local pub guy so hope it goes well. I'm sure the SF beer scene will be virtually unrecognizable from the last time I was there. Toronado seems t...

Re: Thirsty & Miserable

For those who may not have heard, Katie is opening up a new Thirsty & Miserable at 2102 Dundas West!

On Google Maps it looks like it used to be a place called the Golden Peacock. Across the street and down a touch from Bandit.

Great news!

Some updates on the issue... https://globalnews.ca/news/10695319/ontario-alcohol-convenience-store-inspection-increase/ The agency told Global News it had approved 3,830 new licenses as of Aug. 11 — a little more than half the 6,700 stores province-wide. Those licenses have gone to convenience store...

Re: Toronto Festival of Beer 2016 - Jul 22-24

I forgot to mention about the entertainment. I'm sure they've been doing this for a while, but each day has a different theme of live music - Friday was hiphop, Saturday was country and Sunday was rock/punk. So the clientele at each day reflected that fandom. I was back again on Sunday and it was a ...

Re: Toronto Festival of Beer 2016 - Jul 22-24

There's no doubt a bunch of threads about TFOB but this one seems to the most recent. Work took me to TFOB 2024 this year and I went for the Saturday session for the first time in years, I guess 2016 according to my own posts in this thread (I don't remember much about it to be honest). TFOB isn't n...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Pretty awesome trip!

I went up to my family cottage this weekend and brought up a 12-pack of Moosehead East Coast IPA. I was pleasantly surprised, it was a nice drinkable beer. I would get it again for just casual drinking.

We should have a special GIF when an ancient thread comes back to life!

I've always wanted to go as I've heard good things over the years. Alas, heading up to a cottage this weekend.

Re: General LCBO Debate & Discussion Thread

Been receiving emails from just about every brewery with friendly reminders to order!

I think this would be more disruptive to some more rural communities where purchase options are more limited, but as mentioned the shipping is still an option.

I'm sure everyone will get through this just fine :)
