Re: Because Beer Hamilton July 11-12

We should have a special GIF when an ancient thread comes back to life!

I've always wanted to go as I've heard good things over the years. Alas, heading up to a cottage this weekend.

Re: General LCBO Debate & Discussion Thread

Been receiving emails from just about every brewery with friendly reminders to order!

I think this would be more disruptive to some more rural communities where purchase options are more limited, but as mentioned the shipping is still an option.

I'm sure everyone will get through this just fine :)

Re: Great Lakes

That was really interesting. I was only going to start listening right now to get the vibe, but I couldn't turn it off, so listened to the whole thing. Nice to hear S. St. Jeb ! I gave it a listen and it turned out to be a pretty interesting conversation about a lot of Ontario's craft beer expansio...

I also re-published Troy's original article about Halifax which he says on the pod kicked off his career in beer:

Re: Great Lakes

Indeed! It was a lot of fun. Troy asked quite a bit about the Bar Towel.

Re: Short Finger Brewing

The owners Rob & Kat are great people and I've known them from their days in Toronto. Worth it for sure!

Re: Left Field Brewery

Went to the Liberty Village location after the TFC game last night. I cannot recommend this location, due purely to the noise levels (we were seated downstairs). It looks nice, the beers we good, the service was spot on, but I couldn't hear the people at my table and had a constant ringing in my ea...

Re: Toronto Brew Pass from Destination Toronto

Thanks for digging - I was curious what you got from each brewery and that is pretty decent to get mostly full glasses. It is like that beer passport for sure. That one though wasn't timed and the beer was basically just a sample, I think 4oz. If you go to the 16oz places, the one day $22 pass is $5...

Re: St. John's, Newfoundland

Well St. John's was just awesome. Such a fun town w/ lots of bars & nightlife and incredible cliff & ocean views (and whales!) that are all "right there". Everyone was friendly and wanted to know who we were and what we were up to in town. Lots of bartenders shared locals recommend...

Re: St. John's, Newfoundland

Landwash is the original Folly Brewery owners/brewers. Yup, thanks. I had pieced that together as I was reading about the beer scene. I remember they had moved out there but couldn't remember the name or where they were. Looks like a short cab ride from downtown so it's definitely on the list. Chri...
