Re: Bloomex Beer Club Delivery
So I got a call this morning from Bloomex asking if I wanted to get in the beer club. I asked them how they got my number and they said it was from when I got the free 6 pack of Express Beer back in December 2023. Before I could say anything he asked me how that experience was, which I told him &qu...

Re: Breweries closing and/or restructuring and/or bought out
This is more of a location than brewery closure, but I saw on Steve Abrams's Facebook feed that Mill Street's Bermondsey spot apparently has closed.

Re: Windsor-Essex County Beer Enthusiasts, Unite!
I've finally gotten the first episode of Windsor ready. The weather's turned so it looks like it does now, lol. I do enjoy Windsor and hope people check it out. I wish the city would (could?) clean up their downtown a bit as I'm sure many people's impressions are shaped by a small area that's not gr...

Re: Bloomex Beer Club Delivery
Yeah, seems kinda weird. $2.50 a can is impossible for reselling other people's beer so probably is (as you pointed out) expired stock or cans breweries want to get rid of for some reason. They show a pic of Sawdust Twin Pines, which is over $4. There's just no way.

Re: Zwanze
I was thinking about spring events and was wondering about Zwanze, and had kind of forgotten that it is now every other year. So no edition in 2025. In case anyone was also thinking about it!

Cask! Toronto Events - Still going in 2025
I'm not sure who is running things these days, but it's pleasantly surprising to see Cask Toronto still going. I get their newsletters and they continue to have cask beer events at some of the usual suspects around town. Good for them in keeping the fire burning when there really aren't many events ...

Re: LCBO & the Trade Wars
My hot take: the LCBO is indeed restrictful regarding shipping. but they negotiate a pretty great freight rate (at least for international items). if you can get your beer/wine to the port, that $ amount per case is peanuts. $16 per case for the LCBO to pick it up from my Belgian breweries is a per...

Re: Breweries closing and/or restructuring and/or bought out
I think I've become very jaded/cynical, but a lineup featuring an amber, pilsner, stout and IPA doesn't really scream bold new era to me. Granted I'm happy to see breweries returning to classic, simpler styles, however this screams coprorate buzzwords/marketing speak over substance. Their post look...

Re: Saratoga County, NY
I'm a bit conflicted in posting these up from the U.S., but here's the second episode from Saratoga County. I really enjoyed Dancing Grain and had a great chat with brewer Duffy. A very knowledgeable guy and much of the fun discussion was off-camera, as is usually the case. https://www.youtube.com/w...

Evergreen from Ottawa is merging? bought? by Stratford Fox distillery (never heard of them) to become Pistols Brewery.

11,000 Threads!
We had been sitting at 10,999 all-time threads for a few days so I thought I'd just post a new one to tick it up
Anyway, just a thread for the sake of a thread but thanks all for keeping the Ontario beer beat alive on the ol' forum!
