My thoughts exactly, never heard of either!S. St. Jeb wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 10:16 amHa! These two would be on my list of “don’t recall hearing of them before”.

Re: Bar Hop 2 (Peter St)
Bar Hop 2 has been a bit off for a while now. I haven't seen the ground floor open for what seems like years, or at least every time I pass by. I've been a couple of times when the roof patio is open and that's all that is open, so no inside space at all. King St was doing quite well from what I cou...

Yeah, it's a funny line which I've seen a number of times before on restaurant listings on Realtor.midlife crisis wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 11:03 am "Please do not go direct. Please do not speak to staff. Your discretion is appreciated". Yet they have listed the property on a public website, lol.

Re: Gingerman, Oakville
Come to think of it, why the heck did TDD being sold to Molson not result in Ontario distribution? Yeah, it's kind of weird nothing really happened with TDD. TBS lists it, but says no stores carry the cans: https://www.thebeerstore.ca/beers?query=trou%20du%20diable In Ontario it simply seems to be ...

Gingerman, Oakville
I'm writing this only as I'll find sympathetic folks here. There's a pub in Oakville on the Kerr St., so not in a strip mall. It burned down a bit before COVID (nobody hurt) and closed permanently. It was always a decent pub, nothing too fancy but not too corporate either. After a long construction,...

Re: Where would you go for 4 or 5 days?
Which session? Friday night. I prefer that one so I'm not wasted during a day session and can enjoy a full day of exploring on Saturday. I'm going for the first time this year - very excited. I'll be at the Saturday session, but in Chicago from Wednesday. Maybe a BT meetup!?! Amazing! I'll be there...

Re: Where would you go for 4 or 5 days?
Definitely. On my travels to and from Michigan over the past year for A Quick Beer, I've made a number of stops at random breweries I never knew existed. Pretty cool that's a thing nowadays.S. St. Jeb wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2024 9:17 am If you just consider southwestern Ontario in general, there are a tremendous number of options.

Re: Where would you go for 4 or 5 days?
Loving all these suggestions! There are a LOT of Ontario breweries I haven't visited yet, so it is quite possible I'll keep it more local, but we'll see... I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that there's a number of nice breweries in London, and a few in Windsor. It would be an easy trip to go from ...

Re: Where would you go for 4 or 5 days?
Those are all great suggestions. You could also make a good one heading west from Toronto through Michigan (Detroit, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Kalamazoo) and on to Chicago and even up to Madison / Milwaukee. If you like bourbon, one that I did which I would have liked to spend more time on is Toronto -...

Re: UK pint talk
I would actually prefer half of that if it is half the price. This is the way I feel about just about every food dish served at restaurants. I'm not tied to 568ml, not like that's really around in Toronto much anymore. I just want bars and breweries to clearly say how much the quantity is, and serv...
