Re: Aging canned Unibroue vs bottled

Don't get me wrong - I love all these beers. I guess my point is compared to the other mix pack, you kind of need to buy it with something else to balance it out. I tried drinking only the strong octane Unibroues one night recently at my parents and I couldn't keep it going like I used to be able to...

Re: Cask Days 2023

While I enjoyed last years (same set up as this year it looks like) due to the chill atmosphere compared to pre-Covid Cask Days, I honestly can't see myself making the trek to Toronto for this ever again. If I lived relatively close however, I'd say it's worth stopping in for. At this point I don't...

Re: Aging canned Unibroue vs bottled

Can vs bottle aside, it’s kind of a shame that the new mix pack is down to just 4 beers. I would get the mix bottle pack from time to time, and IIRC the last one had Terrible & Raftman. Kind of weird that they dropped Blanche de Chambly too, so now the mix pack is all high octane. https://www.th...

Re: Shrinkflation

I'm sure you've all seen where companies reduce the size of an item instead of increasing the price. I hate the practice. I've moaned about this on the forum numerous times before, but this with "pints" is a big beef of mine. Maybe it's overall good for my health anyway, but I see at many...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Happy to read that St Bernardus Xmas Ale is getting listed again. Hopefully it’s a sign of things to come and maybe the return of more winter warmer style beers for the holiday season Very nice! I'm a sucker for holiday spice type beers, always enjoy them during the holiday times. Will pick this up...

Re: Best Happy Hour Deals in Ontario (Ongoing)

The Collective Arts at Union Station has a deal from 12-5pm on Tues, Wed and Thurs where their draught beers are $5. They usually have four on tap. Otherwise their regular prices are quite pricy, as a 12oz glass runs $8.50-$9.50+extras.

Re: London, Ontario and Area

Thought I'd bring this back up to mention a few notes about London. The Tourism board was generous enough to assist with a trip for A Quick Beer video, so I did a whirlwind tour last weekend. More to come in the video, but some quick notes: - Milos and Beerlab continue to anchor beer awesomeness dow...

Re: UK update

It seems there is a schism in brewing in England these days. Most of the newer microbrews are following US styles, just like most of the world. However, some of the more established brewers are producing traditional UK ales, often on cask. I'm more interested in the traditional UK ales, but to each...
