Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
What great news to start the week, Peche is still one of my all time favourite Canadian beers. I can't even remember the last time it showed up in the LCBO, it's got to have been years. LCBO listing says 473ml can for Peche - that's a big one! I missed that! Five bucks is a pretty solid deal for a ...

Re: Uncorked-Wine and Spirits Appreciation
Throwing this one out there to some of you folks who are probably more knowledgeable than me about tequila/mezcal. I’m looking for a decent bottle to gift to someone who has just recently started drinking tequila. I’m looking for something that will be good value, and not break the bank. Any insigh...

as a relative newcomer (~6yrs) I'd hate to see this go to the wasteland of hate that is Facebook!
as far as I'm concerned, nothing wrong with the site - other than perhaps low level of activity (which isn't always a bad thing).
I prefer quality over quantity of posts

Re: Willibald
Nice touch to have guest beers! Many Ontario breweries now have "guest" beers in their tap rooms that they sell to walk in (or curbside pick-up) sales but none that I know of are shipping. Could be because they don't have the bag of chips to include as the "food" to comply with ...

How do you lose money .... instead of improving their business model. The business model was set up to distribute beer for the brewer/owners (currently 2 primary owners: AB Inbev & Molson Coors, and to a smaller extent Sapporo). As Jordan has written many times elsewhere, its meant to be a &quo...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
So I heard through the grapevine that Orval has shown up in the LCBO warehouse, but it's not listed yet. I haven't seen any news regarding the LCBO bringing it back, so curious if anyone else has heard anything about this? There's apparently 20k bottles, which seems like a lot for a private order. ...

... but perhaps that's how they justify charging $23... I suspect it's either a marketing strategy to create hype around the GI brand or perhaps corporate half-assery. Both of these are true, however, the fact the beer is 14.6% ABV does not help. If I remember correctly, in ON beer over 12% is cons...
