Re: Are you travelling for beer again?

Made a quick trip to Niagara Falls NY for 3 bottles of Sam Smiths Winter Welcome being held for me...keep up my Christmas gift tradition for 2 people at least!! Triple vaxxed but still had hassle returning. US border security didn't even want to see the certificate and no one wearing masks at the st...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Wish that we could get Samuel Smiths Winter Welcome back again since it has been two years since. Drive from Ottawa to spend 20 min in Niagara Falls NY to get three bottles and then flipping nonsense with Covid testing on return even though I am triple vaxxed. The bottles are actually last years bre...

Re: 2020-2021 Winter Season at the LCBO

Looking for the UK winter beers as well, particularly Sam Smith's Winter Welcome. to keep my label streak intact. and support Tadcasters best brewery. Can't head over to the US this year. Do without Wychwood Bah Humbug though it seems the big boys like Marstons get more shelf space

Re: 2020 Holiday Gift Packs at the LCBO

Also glad to see Sam Smith 3 pack plus pint glass returning . Just hope that we are able to get Sam's Winter Welcome at Christmas. Wonder what Fullers Vintage will be like now because of the new Japanese ownership and the fact that they have lost their last two head brewers over the last year and a ...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Not sure if it was just a bad bottle but my Gregorius needed a knife and fork because it had great chunks swirling from the bottom. OK with some sediment in bottle conditioned beers but this was downright ugly.

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Renaissance Tribute Barley Wine (NZ) 13444 is now in some stores part of the Winter release that is finally out but hard to track down because the LCBO does not have the sku in the system for a search. Called about it and their IT dept still hasn't resolved the issue after a week. Last release we go...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Baltic Ale was part of the Winter seasonal release (12337) announced back in early November. Almost 3 months to hit the shelves???? Packaging would be better aesthetically and ecologically with a normal label rather than wrapped head to toe in paper

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO

I see that Fullers Imperial IPA (662411) 10.5% is also coming at $8.00 for a 500ml bottle. Bought one at the Brewery shop in March for £9. It came in a green box with a best before date of 2028 and just like their Vintage ales will develop over time. " Our unique take sees UK hop varieties Targ...

Hope we get the 50th Anniversary 2018 vintage next year at least. Who is likely to brew it for the Italian owners of the recipe? This year it was Meantime in Greenwich but they are now owned by Asahi of Japan :(
