Re: What're you drinking right now?
The delightful GLB delivery driver brought me some 2024 Lake Effect yesterday. It's in good form this year. :P Enjoying one of these as well right now. The current one for me is orange and grapefruit, a good chunk pine and a bit of herbal notes, that I recall back in the 650ml bottle days represent...

Re: Winter Release ???
Last round we got the 'Special edition - partially decaffeinated' Peche, is this batch the same? I did not love the previous batch as much as I usually love Peche Yeah, looks like the same deal, the can has the blurb on the back of the can stating it's the special edition partially decaffeinated an...

Re: What's Your Favourite Ontario West Coast IPA?
Boneshaker and Mad Tom would probably be my tops picks as well, though I prefer the twice as mad tom over the regular by far. Hard to find either mad tom anywhere close to fresh in the KW area these days though. Grocery stores carry pretty fresh Boneshaker though, so it's what I usually go for, espe...

Re: Winter Release ???
Also I got two of the St. Ambroise imperial barrel aged porter, opened the first one a couple weeks ago. It had a super high carbonation, to the point that it was quite unpleasant to drink. Hopefully it was just off bottle and the second one will be better. I didn't find my bottle to be overly carb...

Re: Anyone get a beer advent calendar?
I was looking into a few beer calendars this year, but in the end none of the ones I looked at felt like they were worth it. One with beers from a bunch of different breweries does sound pretty interesting, especially if it's aimed at the craft beer crowd, so it hopefully wouldn't be just the most o...

Re: Winter Release ???
At least some of these are already in stores, or in some cases have been for a while already. The Windswept Bear stout for example is already out. I don't think it ever got any online stock, looks like it went to stores only. Feels like in general LCBO has had much less beer stock allocated to onlin...

Re: Surprisingly good beer from TBS
I generally only go to the TBS to return empties. The one I normally go to has Great Lakes Octopus and Unibroue mixed 12-packs and Blanche de Chambly cans.
Those are all pretty damn good value for me

Re: 2020 Holiday Gift Packs at the LCBO
Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Porter Gift Pack $15.95 500 COLLECTIVE ARTS BREWING LIMITED This is probably just the 500ml bottle in a box: https://collectiveartsbrewing.com/beers/barrel-aged-imperial-porter/ I skipped it last year, $16 felt a bit high for me. Did anyone try last year's edition? I'm ...

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO
I think the only GLB anniversary ale that got LCBO distribution I's the barrel aged RIS. At least it's the only one I've seen around in KW-area, and I bought two of them.

Re: LCBO Xmas Release 2017
I really want to get my hands on that Chimay pack. Anybody see it anywhere in KW yet? I was in the Ira Needles LCBO last week and they told me the Christmas stuff should come in sometime next week. Not sure if the rest of the KW is getting it at the same time, but seems likely. I'll try to drop by ...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
New Unibroue 12-pack in beer stores. This one has 2 each of La Fin Du Monde, Maudite, Don De Dieu, Trois Pistoles, Blanche De Chambly and Lune De Miel.
Nice to have Trois Pistoles back finally, more Don De Dieu is nice too.
