Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Your post and the ones above give some reasons NOT to go. But let’s put those aside and assume I’d like to go for whatever reason.

Re: Godspeed 7th Anniversary Weekend

Well Tapsucker , I guess we've been told. :) Funny. When I go on the site a pop up links to the facebook event page with all the details. It's public so there's no account required to crib details. Either way, if you can find it in your heart not to discount an entire brewery because of how 1 event'...

Re: Godspeed 7th Anniversary Weekend

I am disappointed that their website only mentions that there is an event, but no other details. Presumably their instacrap account has the details like who the collaborators are. It annoys me when businesses use that tactic to tell non social media users that they are not welcome. Would it be so h...

Do you (or others) feel 'freshness' matters so much with a stout? I know it can make a difference with hoppy beers, but I've never thought there was much concern with other styles.

Re: General LCBO Debate & Discussion Thread

I made sure to pop in a couple of days ago to get a couple of bottles of wine and a bottle of that Lambiek Fabriek to try. But really, even the LCBO offers free shipping now, which is staying open during the strike. I wonder how much of an impact it will have on LCBO sales? Our beer view is one thi...

Re: General LCBO Debate & Discussion Thread

So, the LCBO is on strike. For 'craft' beer drinkers, this would have been a more significant issue many years ago. But with so many breweries now, most with delivery options, it really doesn't matter too much as I see it. Even TBS carries craft beer now. LOL, just noticed I have an email from Nick...

I have seen tremendous changes in the industry in my time as an adult. Let's just say it's been awhile since I was "under 30 or 40".

The topic made me laugh in anticipation knowing your sense of humour, but the story is serious and disturbing.

Re: What're you drinking right now?

I went to Caledon last night to see the Sam Roberts Band - free concert at "Caledon Day". Caledon Hills, Goodlot, and Sonnen Hill all had booths, two each actually with one one each side of the area which was convenient. What I found interesting is that Caledon Hills and Goodlot had line-u...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Sparrow’s Sir Richard’s Wobbly pop Pilsner. On the higher end of abv for a pils(5.9) and more bitter than most. I really enjoy the ramped up bitterness. I had this when they first opened(pandemic times…mid 2020) and I seem to think I enjoyed it a lot more, not sure if it’s changed or it’s just me. ...

It seems that Barley Days is closed. From what I can gather, it happened last summer.

Re: Turncoat

I was under the impression that Turncoat was a contract brew at Dragan and never really got going on a brick and mortar location. (I had crossed them off the list on my 'Try every brewery' quest on that basis.) Tough to say from their website / Facebook. Ah, so a 5th St. Kitts brewery. I've heard o...
