Won a pair of tix for Sunday afternoon from TBW facebook page. I know it'll pretty well picked over by then, but I'm looking forward to it as I've never attended before. They usually stop serving popular beers part-way through the other sessions to make sure it lasts for everyone. Last year I tried...

I really enjoyed the elbow room. Props to Volo for keeping the numbers low enough that I could still move around.

I think a Black Watermellon Milk Lager sounds deliciously awful. I'd love to try one, especially if someone put it on cask.

The bottle pours were 1 or 2 tokens. I think that generally speaking lambics were 2 and everything else was 1, but there might have been exceptions.

Did everyone else figure out that they were selling samples from bottles at the bar outside? Holy crap were there some excellent beers there. Just from that I got to try: Abbaye de bon Chien (2009) Cuvée de Ranke Leelenau Golden Leelenau White Cantillon Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (2012) Mikkeller Festival...

Festival Of Small Breweries @ C'est What - Sep 13/14

I'll never understand why this festival doesn't get more hype each year. No admission and dollar samples, along with one of the best lineups of beer you'll see outside of caskdays. It's on today and tomorrow, I think I'll try to stop in briefly both days. Here are the beers: FRIDAY: Al's Cask Ale (c...

I just prefer the aroma and taste of alcohol not stand out more than (or even as much as) the malt and hops. I haven't drank a DFH90 in sometime, but I have never found DFH in general to be very consistent or have a high degree of quality control. In general, I do come across a lot of commercial hi...

The 8 wired iStout is having the strangest rollout I've ever seen. 24 bottles to Dundas & Jane and like a week later 12 to Aurora.

FT: Deus ISO:Things I don't have

Anyone looking to pick up a bottle or two of Deus? I snagged a case yesterday and I don't really think I need to keep all 6.

That's more or less what I expected to hear, thanks for confirming it.

Too bad, that's a beer I'm in the mood for every 4 months or so, it would be nice to have it ready and waiting in the cellar whenever I want it.

I've been using this for a while now. Anyone else find that after a bit all you ever get are more levels on the badges for various styles? I suppose that's probably because I never really do any of the social media or cheers things or whatever. I pretty much just use it as a tool to remember what I'...

Uxbridge isn't a huge market. If they're not getting in the LCBO right away, they won't survive if they don't make a beer the locals will buy.Plus they had a few questions in there that were clearly geared toward figuring out the best way of getting people to try new styles. Even if it is a passion ...
