Cask Ale, Cranberry Maple, Wunderweisse & Cantillon lamb

JerCraigs wrote:Anyone else expecting to hear about cantillon marinated lamb from the subject line?
Heh. The subject box did let me type in the ics. I don't know what happened to it afterwards.

Maybe that's a dish that the Beer Bistro could give a whirl... :D

Don't give up until you try a sixer of Scotch Irish Sgt Major's IPA. Make yourself have at least two before you nail that final nail. I'm not a big IPA drinker either but this one is changing me. (Heck if you hate it after two I may buy/trade the other four from you!!) Well I may give it a try if I...

Cask Ale, Cranberry Maple, Wunderweisse & Cantillon lamb

It was a rather busy weekend. On Friday my girlfriend and I had dinner at the Bow. I apparently got near the last of Denison's Weissebier which I found out when the table beside us tried to order it. Lucky me. :) A couple of Sleeman chicks were there giving out free bottles of Sleeman Cream Ale. I d...

And I'm sure that everyone will be happy to know the Fruli strawberry beer will be available at TBS soon. I object to the use of the term "beer" in that sentence. :) Hey, I like that stuff which is kind of surprising considering I don't like eating strawberries. Very sweet. I usually dump...

Well, with my political stripes all over the map I tend to read all the Toronto papers.

thestar.com Column

Unlike globeandmail.com which really is subscription $$$ based (idiots!), some parts of thestar.com require a free account to access.

I had a sample of Headstrong at the Summerhill LCBO on Saturday. I think that's the final nail in the coffin for me trying IPA's. I just can't take that style of beer.

What do you mean by "festival side"? Samples were being served at both bars on Friday. Well I saw that on the right side there was someone with a role of tickets and didn't see the same on the other side so that was an assumption on my part. We didn't stick around to eyeball some more. An...

Big time  . We showed up and the festival side was packed so we went to the other side to get a table (we had to get something to eat) with the intention of hopping over for samples and was dismayed to find no tables available. So we left for the Bier Market. At least they had Denison's W...

Maybe it has to do with having a built-in market already rather than come up with something new which will have to have marketing $$$ thrown at it. Cheaper perhaps? Or have something "new" for summer which they otherwise couldn't do something really new in time? Hopefully Molson won't scre...

The three C'est What beers that you've already tried are the weakest of the bunch. The cask ale is very good when it's fresh (which I presume it will be on Friday - it would be foolish of them to have a stale cask on for such a large event), and the brown is a very nice mild ale, great for those ti...

Myself, two friends and the girlfriend will be attending, probably close to 7:00pm by the time we all assemble and haul ass down from Y&E. I've been wanting to try a couple more of the homegrown stuff but have been reluctant to do so after the experiences with the hemp, chocolate and ginger. Wit...

My girlfriend ordered the ginger and the black cherry a little while back which I sampled. We both agreed that the ginger was yucko. She kind of liked the black cherry while I was indifferent towards it.
