Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
Yah, it's interesting how the format can affect the total amount purchased. With big bottles, I almost always just purchase one, but with cans, I purchase more. It only takes two cans to be more volume than one large bottle. I wonder what all comes into play with the breweries decisions. Two things...

Re: Shawn and Ed Brewing
as an aside, i re-visited the Steam Whistle unfiltered lager at the Only this past weekend. starts nice, finishes with corn. blech. Has anyone brewed a Jack's Abbey IPL in Ontario? Or even a good hoppy pilsner (like Firestone's Pivo or Victory Prima)? .[/quote] The Innocente Pils-sinner is pretty g...

Re: Shawn and Ed Brewing
And if I may prolong the tangent started earlier - I, too, miss the GRB of days past. Tailgate is the epitome of mediocre Ontario pale lagers, and it's expensive to boot. They should have just re-branded the Galt Knife or Hannenberg recipes, because those were both better beers. Spent a day at GRB ...

Completely off-topic, but am I the only one completely baffled by a news reporter filming herself as if it was a selfie whilst carrying a real camera?!? you didn't grow up watching MuchMusic or CityTV? now, it makes even more sense. gives a guerrilla journalism feeling and a "here's my selfie!...

This news report is the first time I've seen the pamphlet: http://www.citynews.ca/2016/01/26/video-is-the-junction-poised-to-become-torontos-brewery-district/ Completely off-topic, but am I the only one completely baffled by a news reporter filming herself as if it was a selfie whilst carrying a re...

Re: Toronto Brewery District
Tell me if I missed something and/or got something wrong, but from what I can figure out: Henderson Brewing has proposed a "Brewery District" in which, of course, they would be located within. A couple of Toronto breweries outside of this "district" are upset because (a) they ar...

Re: I'm with you on that.
No way would people pay $26.85 for a six-pack of Stone Porter. This is what they or the LCBO are essentially asking. Something is just wrong. The monopolists running the beer game in Ontario have no sense of the product or where the prices should be, it's an absolute mess. But that's exactly why br...

My understanding is 330ml bottles at TBS, bottles and 473ml cans at LCBO.Blasphomet wrote:Is the Ransack only available in 6 packs at TBS? I only see 473ml cans on drinkvine right now, and only in one location.

Outlaw '2 Lane' Pale Ale Maclean's Luck and Charm Oatmeal Stout No idea if the Outlaw beer was named correctly - wasn't on Untappd and they don't appear to post a list anywhere, but it was an acceptable pale. Maclean's was delicious - best of theirs that I've had. Mainly just really pleased to have ...

Re: Former Dieu du Ciel brewmaster opening east Toronto brew pub
There is also neighbourhood parking but unfortunately Ivy St is torn up at the moment. If you're just running in to grab and go most customers just park out front for the less than 5 minutes it takes. That part is likely frustrating for neighbours and I therefore don't encourage it. Thought that so...

Re: Four Fathers Brewing Co.
Interesting business plan. Hope the concept of providing only 750ml bottles works for them. It seems to be working for Refined Fool in Sarnia, though they have virtually no competition in the area. When you have no competition in your local area, you have the luxury to experiment. Four Fathers has ...

Re: beerbistro
Curious, does it have the be the brewery making the delivery? Could the bar make the pick up? What funny laws we have.... I've heard you can't just walk into an LCBO and buy alcohol to stock a bar. Sure they do. I've seen bar owners and bartenders do that all the time. I've been stuck behind some o...

Re: Collingwood Fireside ESB
I should rephrase I think - it's definitely been in LCBOs here, but I haven't been into one for a couple of weeks, so they could just be out of stock/brewing a new batch.
