I've been seeing these guys more and more at LCBOs.
Had one of their high-end bottles and it was quite nice.
Previously, they only offered $10 shipping, so I never ordered.
They now offer free shipping from $100 province-wide.

Re: Zwanze
This is why I really wish Boon's geuzes would come back to Ontario. 3 Fonteinen's version is better, but sometimes you would rather save some money and get a pretty good one. In a nearby, slightly higher priced jurisdiction, 3 Fonteinen's geuze is 75% more than Boon's. Using some rough math, a geuze...

Re: Best Happy Hour Deals in Ontario (Ongoing)
Bellwoods Elaboration: Monday-Friday from 5-7 of six of their normal beers (Jutsu, Jelly King, Bellweiser, NA Jelly King, Ultra Light, +other [or something like that]). None of the fancier ones, even at smaller sizes. They do have half-pours, but not for select hours. Food is either not discounted o...

Re: Bar Volo 2.0
Volo on College is much better for non-Volo stuff. I have been going more often because that location has discounted pricing on all Ontario beer on Tuesday versus only Volo beers at their main location.

Re: Quebec City Beer
St. Jean is really the best place to be. There is a frequent bus (Green, 800-series buses) along the corridor. Some places that we didn't go to, but I've heard of good things: Le Projet - Spécialité Microbrasseries: 30 taps of micros. The Duchess D'Aiguillon - Didn't go, but I heard it's like L'Axe ...

Re: Quebec City Beer
Just got back from the city for Carnaval. It was nice. We did some other non-beer-related stuff, too. The toboggan is a nice retro activity. Bottle Shops Alimentation L'impact : Huge selection of both cases and normal stuff, with mostly craft in singles. I spent way too long there because they have ...

This makes me wish Sierra Nevada was still at the LCBO. Maybe Torpedo will be available one day.

Avling changed their happy hours from 4 to 6 from Tuesday to Sunday.
$5 beers.
Unclear if 375mL bottles are still half, but no mention of them.

Re: Best Happy Hour Deals in Ontario (Ongoing)
Bellwoods has Lambics (and their spontaneous stuff) on Mondays. I went and it was very whatever.
Now Lambic bottles are 50% off on Mondays (maybe better selection and price, hopefully).
Following in Avling's footsteps, Bellwoods has beers for $6 from 5-7 on weekdays.

Re: Blood Brothers’ Over The Tap - $7 to $12 for 4 oz pours
This pricing seems to be inline with what Volo charges for fancy bottle pours of Lambics (around $10/5oz.). That's certainly luxury pricing, but it seems like what this event had was not in that orbit. Local stuff at those prices seems quite rich.

Matron
Similar to Revel, Matron has sent out an email asking for help. Since Revel's ask, I have ordered twice. I'm glad there's still going to be world-class cider in the province. Below is the piece from Matron's email. We're currently navigating some tricky waters - and we know we aren’t alone. Blue Mon...
