Bought my bottles in Guelph, and while I found it decent, there was something funny, someone said 'minerally', and I agree. Wouldn't buy more. Thought the porter was excellent though.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm thinking of trying to find a hardshell suitcase that fit the 12 x 750 ml styro snug-ly for beer hauls while on vacation. If two 12 oz'ers (or cans) go well (with bubble wrap as suggested), then I have flexibility to bring home bombers or 12 oz bottle or cans, or any comb...

What are people thoughts (or experience) with shipping two 12 oz bottles in each 750 ml 'sleeve', with some sort of packing paper or bubble wrap in between, ie using one of these 12 bottle units to ship 24 12oz bottles?

nothing yet. Just finished John Palmers book, getting itchy. Will pm you to arrange a brew day.

The whole idea of culturing yeast really intrigues me. Is it that hard to do, practically??

Now

Neustadt Mill Gap Bitter. Was by the brewery today, so grabbed a few. Wow, what a flavourful bitter, tonnes of flavour in a small 3.7% package!

Grabbed a couple Honey Stouts too, but they'll have to wait for another night...

English IPA

Guys - I had the True North IPA made by Magnotta at the Grand River Beer Club last night and I thought it was a 'spot on' example of an English IPA. I was pleasantly surprised. Is worth a try, but only is sold in 12s at TBS or better yet, pick some up at the brewery in Vaughn.
