re: Shire. Well they definitely don't have the dark, so it's the wrong tap handle. Thanks for the heads up; I'll call them today. There was a management change their a few weeks ago and they are adding 4-6 Labatt taps, hence why the Maple is now off. Sadly a couple of other micros are gone as well (...

I had it on tap @ the ACC a few weeks back and the tap handle definitely said "India Pale Ale"... it was the only reason I ordered it. yes, however I think that might be the original tap handle, and that it's just the Pale Ale. Look at the dates of reviews on beeradvocate. Also on ratebee...

funny enough it's not really like Keith's. it's darker and has a different hop to the nose, though very light.

I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that Rickard's IPA and Rickard's Pale Ale are the same beer. Didn't they just ditch the "India" from the bottles?

I had a couple of bottles 2 weeks ago (first time in a while, due to feeling it was inconsistent) and it was really great.

It's a sour light lager. It's quite unlike anything I've ever had, and while I like it, it's been a pretty divisive beer with those that have sampled it in these parts.
