No booth for me. The Tor. beer fest charges a lot.

I'm happy to meet up (thinking about going Friday).

However, I am working on the Golden Tap awards show, which will be one night in August. Details to come, but we should all try to meet up for this one.

Thats a great idea - that would be great for the "beer reports" section. What do you think Ken?

Some nice content there! And thanks for the link.

One correction though - in your St. Lawrence Show it should be goldentap.com (no 's'). Thanks for the mention on that one too.

If we had better lambics in Ontario, I surely would drink them too (let's get Boon back!). I too have fond memories of driving up to KLB to fill the trunk of their early oversized bottles (remember those?). KLB will be sorely missed, and I can't help but think this is a direct result of their expans...

Great news indeed. For those who are interested, the exact address is 2140 Yonge St., and K hopes to be up and running in September.

Can't wait - as Josh mentioned that's quite a nice little beer district we have uptown!

This has been rumoured for a while. I'm curious, however, since I thought that Amsterdam was going to move its equipment to Pbo instead. I have seen a "for sale" sign on their building on 600 King W. for some time, and I didn't think they were going to buy it. I could be wrong though. I th...

I agree with Dan, this was a fantastic evening at the Academy. The dinner was superb, with excellent food/beer pairings. I especially liked the carbonade and the dessert/Liefmans combination. The beers were great, and with each course we got about 1/2 bottle each, all in their appropriate glassware....

So I went to Volo last night and it was very good. As your friend discovered, they do have Tankhouse & Denison's on tap, along with a few other draught selections (Cameron's, St Andre), and a good list of well-priced bottles. They also have a nice patio that faces Dundonald, so it's a bit quiete...

Moving the topic here. I've never brought beer from Canada to the U.S., so I'm not sure on the rules. They probably differ from state to state, just like in Canada. When I was researching the rules for bringing back into Ontario, I contacted the LCBO (Customs was no help). Perhaps you might want to ...

Thanks for the tip Greg. I work very close to Volo (I'm at Yonge & Bloor), so I'll have to check it out. Actually, the Y/B area is pretty devoid of good micro beer (Rebel House excluded) so this could be a promising place to visit.
