I, for one, welcome our new robot overlords.
https://www.theguardian.com/business/2023/jul/22/end-of-the-bartender-the-uk-vending-machines-pouring-pints-for-the-masses I was at an event in San Jose years ago where they had a variation on this. You still had to pull your own, but it had some sort of throttle to help get a good pour. The best pa...

Also Pohjala, do go. We didn't do the sauna thing but the whole facility is fantastic. In fact I can't recommend Tallinn enough, a gorgeous city and a seemingly underrated country in general. Lots of very good local breweries and craft imports too; I was impressed for such a small country, they pun...

Re: Beer Spa
Yeah, golf or fishing would help get my attention, but chilling by a lake also works for me. Thing is, my mom lives on a lake, so I can always go chill there and I've set her up with a kegerator and keep it stocked up with homebrew. (most of the time when her friends don't clear it out too fast. LOL...

Re: Beer Spa
I know someone who does contracting up in that area and flagged this place with me just before they opened. He thought it has a lot of promise, but he did mention he felt the beer was pretty uninspired. I'm not sure if he did any work there or just got a sneak peak. The beer could have improved sinc...

State of US beer industry.
Good article in Slate today (it looks like they're doing a series). I'm pretty sure much of this applies to Canada as well.

Well, I guess we should be grateful that we don't have to get a note from our parents to participate.S. St. Jeb wrote: ↑Wed Jun 28, 2023 4:15 pm Not starting until August 2?? LOL. Wouldn't want to evaluate the initiative on the whole summer now, would we?

37. American Style India Pale Ale Gold Big Chute Quayle's Brewery Ontario 2023 Never heard of these guys, are they any good? My wife was at Quayle's last week and was impressed. She brought me back some samples (she knows what she's supposed to do  ). So far I have only tried the Big Chute. I...

Re: Bar Volo 2.0
Boy, Toronto really does go out of its way to squash not just fun, but legitimate business and culture builders. https://twitter.com/barvolo/status/1668676187021778944 I saw it explained in the mainstream media as an issue with taking away parking. That's a parking area? I bet the only vehicles tha...

Re: Contract Breweries
Jordan St. John maintains probably the most comprehensive list of contract breweries in Ontario. From the looks of the list though, it doesn't list where they actually brew - as it may be multiple locations. https://saintjohnswort.ca/ontario-brewery-map/ It seems like Jordan's output has gone quiet...

LCBO Inventory
Has anybody else noticed LCBO out of inventory on so many items recently? Is this another supply chain challenge? Is it in every part of town? On top of that they decided to renovate their Leaside store right at the beginning of the busy summer season. What a mess. I guess Dougie got some genius fro...

Donnelly Group - Creditor Protection
OT - your Blogto link also led me to a newer post today about the Donnelly group filing for creditor protection. I know they have locations in Toronto, but I don't think I have been to them. I have however been to a few in Vancouver. I'm conflicted by their model. I mean, they have been, for the mos...
