Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Just found some of the Framboise at the Manulife LCBO. Unfortunately, it doesn't say the LCBO product # on the bill or bottle.

Hi Luc,

They do in fact have a website, at http://www.amsterdambeer.com

No info about the 750 Framboise, so I would suggest calling them up at 416-504-6882.

Good point Peter, thanks. Let's keep this discussion on the Royal York Fest. Speaking of which, I'm happy to present a review of the fest by Josh Oakes. This article was also posted on Ratebeer.com, but we collaborated on this - he did the writing and I took the snaps. Check out the review here: htt...

I sense a touch of sarcasm coming from rabbit with regards to the case order, and how it's going with esprit. I'm going to work on a better system to organize case orders - perhaps an automated form where people can take a portion of a case, and can offer to pickup/take delivery (which seemed to be ...

The order which was cutoff yesterday was primarily for licensees. The February order is when Unibroue is opening it up for individuals. So yes, some bars (Joe's comes to mind) will be getting the beers soon (next month, perhaps). <font size=-1>[ This Message was edited by: Cass on 2002-11-30 13:25 ]...

I agree with the sentiments expressed here - it's continually disappointing that "beer festivals" around these parts are just a bunch of beers from the Beer Store & LCBO in one place. I enjoyed the Royal York fest very much, but it was primarily due to socialising with all the Bartowel...

Well, I did the contest draw this morning and have contacted all the winners (via e-mail, check you inbox if you entered!).

There was great response to the contest - there were a lot more entries than I was anticipating.

Hope to see everyone at the festival!

Here are the details of the upcoming beer dinner at Nevada in the Beach (1963 Queen St. East): The dinner is being held on Monday, November 25th at 7:30pm. There will be six dishes made with beer, including mussels, shrimp, and chicken, each with an accompanying glass of that beer used to cook the d...

I would definitely like to have another Bar Towel pub night, but with the upcoming Royal York festival, and the always-busy December quickly approaching, I'm concerned that we may not fit one in this year. Anyone else feel the same way?

This really is a place that I should have a review of in the main site, but unfortunately I haven't gotten around to it yet. I was at The Only last night, and it really is a nice pub. Good atmosphere, lively, neighbourhood-feel crowd, good tunes, and great beer. About a dozen or so taps, including a...

Not sure about 11. Heard about it, but not much so far. Perhaps a 11% tripel.

As for the Quelque Chose, I believe they did change the recipe last year. This year's version will be available at certain Toronto bars & restaurants this winter.
