.....still with the saturation of pumpkin beers. I get it, it's fall/halloween, but do we really need this many beers of essentially the same-pumpkin style? Although by the looks of it, not as heavy as last year, so that's good I guess. Yes. And our two local ones, easily the best IMO -- Great Lake...

Has anybody ever thought any of the Renaissance stuff is worth the price? I've tried 3 or 4 of them and thought they're all average at best. I supposed someone must be buying them as they keep popping up.

Oast House Barnraiser. Purchased from the brewery June 29 for something like $9 for 750ml bottle. Apperance is a nice pale yellow honey, with almost 2 fingers of frothy white head and slow steady carbonation. The nose is really fruit forward with bitter orange, peach, some pine resin and an almost, c...

I've got two bottles of Cuvee Van De Keizer Blauw that i've been sitting on for over a year. May open one and see how she is. I havn't really done toomuch tasting, as far as aged beers go. I've got a bunch of stuff in the basement, but havn't really dipped into it very much. I drank a Rocheforte 8 ...

Due to the muggy weather its a Saison kinda night. Nickelbrook Paysan Saison. A good beer, best saison i've had from Ontario, however, due to the price, I doubt i'd buy it again. Wellington Rhubarb Saison. Again, a decent enough drink, but overpriced. I'm honestly not sure if i'd be able to tell you...

Nickelbrook La Paysan

Nickelbrook La Paysan Saison. Look was a hazy golden orange with two fingers of white frothy head. Nice carbonation streaming from the bottom of the glass. The nose is of saison yeast, barnyard/white pepper smell, toasted corriander seed, green apple, orange blossom and peach skins. The taste brings i...

I have a bottle, but havn't opened it yet. I think i will like it, asI really enjoyed the Canny Man....although I'll admit i found it a bit tough to finish alone. I really like all different styles of Scotch, and i also enjoy each beer i've had aged in Scotch barrels so far. I'll report back once i ...

I've got a bottle of the 2013 Motley Crue sitting in the fridge.....any thoughts on what it will be like? I'm rather new to the "aging" beer game.

Agree, the Mellow moon smells awesome and is really pungent. First couple tastes are nice, but after that I found it almost, like a cooler more than a beer. Really refreshing though.
