Re: Bellwoods Brewery

I wish I'd tried it without the raspberries. I have a feeling I would have liked it better. I'm not a huge fan of raspberry in beer because I find a lot of time it reminds me of jam or medicine.

Re: Brothers Brewing

I thought it was amusing. Glad they pointed out how ridiculously expensive this would be. Clearly it's a case of they "could do it" as opposed to "should do it". No way brewing with Coors light makes the end beer better.

I love how some people just need to hate so much.

Café Del Bastardo - now at our Brewery Retail Store - a barrel aged imperial stout infused with whole coffee beans
Cracked my first Cafe Del tonight. Lots of coffee right now. I prefer it to this year's Kentucky Bastard.

Re: Ontario Announces First Winning Bidders for Sale of Beer in Grocery Stores

According to CBC, Metro by Stone Road Mall in Guelph is selling beer as of today. The LCBO at least isn't in the same parking lot as Metro, but it really is just at the other end of the mall. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/kitchener-waterloo/where-to-buy-beer-in-waterloo-region-grocery-stores-1.33657...

Re: 3RD ANNUAL GLB HOLIDAY TAP TAKEOVER - WOOLWICH ARROW

So how was it this year..... Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it down to the Wooly First time attending so I can't compare it to past years, but I had a really good time. I thought it was very well run, however, I was sitting right at the bar, and never went more than a minute without beer. Pric...

Re: Brothers Brewing

How is it outdated? They're raising money and they for us taking about them. If they're renting, most of the repairs you're taking about would be the responsibility of the owner. 20k could go a long way towards what they need to do. Or it could just be a marketing ploy for them. Either way I don't ...

Re: Labatt buys Millstreet

There are a lot of things at play here. I've seen (and been jealous of) NB skids in certain LCBO stores, however they're distribution isn't close to the LB does. Take a look at the amount of store the Top 3 brands for each brewery are in. Naughty Neighbour 269 stores, Headstock 268 stores, Cause &a...

What's amusing that The Other Brother's was a name of a restaurant downtown Guelph... although that was several years ago.

Re: Wellington Brewery Presents: THIRTY: ANNIVERSARY CASK BEER FESTIVAL

75 different beers/ciders (only 5 ciders). Pretty awesome. I doubt all 75 will be poured at each of the 3 sessions - but still good variety. Looking forward to this morning (I'm doing the 11am session).
