Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
I also noticed that they no longer label their cans with dates. I was in Laird LCBO last week and searched all over a few cans before giving up and buying a different beer. They still print the dates on them...in black ink on a dark grey can. It's there, but next to impossible to read! Booo. It was...

WTF. Who picked this random number? The nanny state never ceases to amaze. Are they going to cap the ABV of wine as well?

Re: LCBO Summer Craft Beer Release 2015
Does it have a cork? Or just a metal cap? Has anyone tried this yet? I want to know if it's a real sour before I commit to a bunch of them. Just had one tonight. Very nice and tart. Not very sweet at all. Nice sour, not lip puckering but it is sour for sure. Didn't get a hint of heat. Worth picking...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
My comment was just to the growler of pilsner. To me it seems pricey, and I'd have the same opinion if monkeys or muskoka released a similar beer in that format. I also agree with growlers being an inconvenient size. When breweries offer a quart growler as opposed to the traditional half gallon, I g...

So the $15.95 includes deposit? How much is that? I don't remember growler fills being $15+ at most breweries.MatttthewGeorge wrote:1) not the only growler at the LCBO
2) other growler at LCBO is the same price
3) beer plus growler is $15+ at any brewery

Re: HB kits?
Have to say I wasn't impressed with the Brooklyn Brewshop kits either. I got the first one as a gift a few years back. Wife bought it at Chapters. Who knows how long it was sitting on the floor - and in what kind of conditions. The beer (Everyday IPA) fermented but it was lacking. Not having learned...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
too bad, i was hoping arrogant bastard was going to come in at around $7, since it's $5 USD in WNY. but $9 is a little much, even for the convenience of buying it locally. Exactly. I was prepared to buy (freshly made) Stone IPA regularly for about 7 a bomber. Not nine bucks, something is wrong ther...

With Tank 7 rolling out, has anyone tried it from this batch? Did the warehouse aging ruin it?

I saw some Red Racer the other day and it was from late June I believe. Freshest I've seen of it in a long long time. Didn't buy though. To pumped on the extremely fresh, days old Naughty Neighbour and Headstock that seem to be constantly pumped in to the Aurora LCBO. Nickel Brook knocking it out o...

Brewed a hefeweizen yesterday. First attempt at a decoction mash. Everything seemed to work out alright - I guess I'll see in a few weeks when it's bottled and carbed.
Thursday I'm brewing an IPA loaded with Falconer's Flight.
