Try it in pretty much any ice cream. Or, make a classic malted milkshake - even strawberry is good. :) I used to boil down the dregs of my mash and put it on ice cream.

Lister, holy shit, you're right. I never even considered that I could ask for locally distributed Ontario craft beers to be transferred down here! The OCB web site even provides a listing of products with LCBO numbers.

I quite enjoyed it too. Quite flavourful, good mouthfeel. Only complaint could be that I found it a little heavy on the banana aroma; not enough to turn me off of it though.

Hm, I'll count my blessings, then. I've never had a bad Heritage product, and I buy them fairly often. That said, I'd still be interested in understanding their batch codes so that I could guarantee that I'm buying a fresh case.

Was he odd? Hell yeah. Was he immoral? I have to say, I can not fairly hold an opinion. It is not my responsibility to judge him at a moral level, nor have I the experience or information necessary to do so. The most informed, least objective people available - a jury - acquitted him; that's about a...

I've done it with Hoegaarden with some reasonable results. I haven't done it enough though to say conclusively.

Do keep in mind, however, that some bottle conditioned beers use different yeasts for priming than for primary fermentation. Tends to be more common on higher alcohol beers.

I can't say I found the ST Raspberry wheat to be as bad as others seem to have found it. That said, I did chill it to the point that some ice was forming in the bottle - maybe that's the secret :)

If you get a chance to make it to Guelph, you could grab some Wellington RIS at the brewery if they still have it. Only $2.20 a can.

Last night was a Welly RIS, Sgt. Major, then a couple pints of Tankhouse and Wellington SPA. Got home at 2 and up at 7 - the tasting is going to put me down tonight. Looking forward to it, Matt. :P

Steelbackguy, you're right, nothing like that has happened yet. It's just something that happens with strikes sometimes. For example, picketers are blocking access to transfer stations during the garbage strike.

and thereby increasing pressure to end the strike. which is exactly why pickets are done.
I don't debate that it's effective, in the same way that stealing a baby's lollipop is an effective way to acquire a lollipop. I just don't know why it's permitted. :)

I don't understand how picketers are allowed to block traffic and impede peoples' movements. IMHO, anyone who does that should be arrested and charged; it has nothing to do with the grievances they have with their employer. If anything, the only thing it achieves is to make people angry and create t...
