Just wanted to remind everyon that the Golden Tap Awards party is taking place tomorrow at the Academy of Spherical Arts (start time 6pm).

I've picked up the Awards plaques (they look great) and the Academy has full power back!

This beer has been discontinued for quite some time. Only if someone has some bottles sitting around would you find one, I expect.

I went to the Granite last night to check out the new store. It's doesn't take up a lot of room - it's very narrow, and runs along the north wall of the bar (in fact, it's behind their big TV they have in the front). Interesting. However, unless things have changed, Ontario law prevents breweries from owning bars. This is so Molson/Labatt doesn't own all the bars in the country (like in the UK). This also forced Amsterdam's hand a number of years ago and they decided to become just a brewery. Now we all know tha...

Hey Joe, I just had a great Montreal brewpub trip a couple of weeks ago, so here's my thoughts on them.... Dieu du Ciel a no brainer, as you mentioned. Right around the corner from them is Sergent Recruteur (sp?), but I'm not a fan of their ambience. I think you're better walking a bit further down ...

I think this is cool. One think I think the Star article doesn't mention is that this might actually encourage tourism between Rochester & Toronto. My parents often go to Rochester and they have always liked the city. It does seem to be a bigger issue in Rochester - check this out: http://www.de...
