Christoffel Blonde and Rogue Hefe-e-weisen spotted today at Wilson and Dufferin. No sign of Saison Dupont, though, which is what I was after. I was also at Crossroads earlier in the day and they had nothing.

I had several of the Glatt beers back in the day as some of my family lives in London. Only way I knew of to get them was to go to the brewery, which was in the east end (perhaps off Highbury?). I remember the 16 oz. swingtop bottles distinctly. The ESB and the Ruby Porter were some of my favourite ...

I was in on the weekend. Tried the Mild, Dry Hop and Pale Ale. The beers are good. It remains curious to me that the Mild and Dry Hop are under a different dispense (presumably nitro) than the others, but they are still good, all the same.

Unfortunately, it was drained Thursday night. None left when I dropped in today (Friday). Granite IPA currently on cask.

I guess we should be grateful that "the best beer in the world", Saison Dupont, is in the current LCBO release. I wonder if "Saison Black Oak" will re-appear this year as well. It was superb last year, IMO. I'd love to compare the two.

As I said elsewhere, the Stock Ale (along with the other three Mill Street beers) are in at Avenue and Lawrence Beer Store. The Stock is packaged in an unfortunate clear glass bottle. It is pleasant enough, and I guess true to the Stock Ale style (to the extent I understand it), but a bit sweet, bla...

The nice thing about the (delisted) Ruddles Bitter was its 3.5% alcohol content, while maintaining at least some flavour. Can't think of an Ontario equivalent, except the wonderful but infrequent Scotch Irish Dogsbody.

Mill Street Beers

All four Mill Street beers (Tankhouse, Coffee Porter, Stock Ale, Organic Lager) in their new packages are now in stock at the Avenue and Lawrence Beer Store. Bought some Stock and some Tankhouse.

Tankhouse also purchased this weekend in the new bottles at Avenue & Fairlawn LCBO, which was nice, because that store doesn't have a great selection generally. They had the Hockley Dark in cans too, though, so not all bad.

Agree with all that. If you're uptown, the Wilson/Dufferin LCBO has a very nice selection, including all those mentioned above, in a chilled room, which I haven't seen elsewhere.

Unfortunately, the Bow & Arrow, IMHO, can't serve decent cask ale, they keep it too long and will serve it out of date and in a very poor state I find that the cask ale is much improved at the Bow of late, so I would take issue with this statement. And the Bow serves it the way it is meant to b...

I also tried the Lagunitas Hairy Eyeball at Volo. Lovely stuff. Up there with the Dogfish Head brews in my estimation (I haven't been exposed to many of the other super-hopped American beers).
