Do you mean Church Key Northumberland Ale? I've never heard of it being called a cream ale, although it is a hard beer to pin down to a particular specific style. They call it a stock ale on their website, but I've seen it called a pale ale as well. Well C'est What has Church-Key Cream Ale on tap. ...

I had Muskoka Cream Ale about three weeks ago at Mad Monty's. It was serviceable and infinitely better than Sleeman Cream Ale *gag*. Out of the cream ales I've had they would rank like this: (ones I can remember) Church-Key McAuslan Catfish / Muskoka / Cameron's (haven't tried draft yet) Sleeman Any...

I enjoy the Belle Vue Kriek and the Mort Subite Framboise as well. That's hardly surprising since I drink Dr. Pepper and Cherry Coke/Pepsi so I'm not bothered by any "cough syrupiness" that some people claim. I'll even drink ice wine with dinner. Yum, yum. :D I'd like to try a true lambic ...

That might be something the girlfriend and I may come out to if the weather is nice. One question though for those that live around that area. I see that there are two provincial parks, one near Campbellford called Ferris and the other south of Brighton called Presqu'lle. Are either of those two sui...

There was a segment on Daily Planet a month or so ago about using metal cans for beer or other beverages. Metal has the trait of absorbing heat/cold very quickly but at the same time it releases heat/cold very quickly as well. That's why cold cans feel so cold, it releases the cold to your hands mor...

I have to concentrate on making the stuff and focus my resources on getting it, and the Weissbier, into bottles. Yes please! :D Particularly the Weissbier. I've developed a bit of a thing for it and Magnotta's Wunderweiss. I'd like to have a stash at home when I don't feel like having to trudge out...

CFRB reported that the LCBO union is looking at the middle of May for a possible strike. At least that gives the public some time to stock up if they do walk.

I picked up the lambics mentioned several posts up. I can't say that there is any specific flavour to the Mort Subite one but it's sweet which I like. :) Is this stuff going to stick around for the year or should I be stocking up for the summer?

The Beerworks on Canal will be a definite stop. The other places outside of Boston will be more difficult due to other party members not being gung-ho about brewpubs. I'll plot them out anyways to see if any are around where we'll be staying. Thanks for the replies.

Does anyone know which Beer Store locations in central Toronto are carrying this beer? The Beer Store website doesn't have a "see stores that stock this product" option like the LCBO site. Actually the Beer Store site does have that option, just not immediately noticeable. Go select the S...

Good brewpubs & pubs in Boston?

I may be going to Boston later this year and was wondering if anyone found any nice places there. I've been there last year but never got a chance to try any places other than the phony Cheers bar located in the tourist trap market area. I'm primarily interested in places that have a good variety on...

A half an hour isn't so bad but I couldn't convince my friends to head down on Friday. I did head down with the girlfriend on Saturday at 8:30pm and got a table no problem. In fact we had our pick of tables.
