Point taken, but still. Is a super hopped up dark ale made with a hop variety from somewhere not in the north-west a different style than one made with cascade!? Just seems ridiculous to me. :-?

And I hope Cascadia doesn't gain independance. The Dems need their support. :P

There are plenty of recognized style designations that hinge on the hop variety(s) used. This certainly doesn't set a precedent.

Just got a couple of bottle of the VCBW (Vancouver Craft Beer Week) CDA Collaboration Ale. 6.5%, very solid. Here's some coverage of the opening night event;
