Keith's Ad Recipe
The actual investigation into the recipe is, IMO, kinda stupid and petty, but the snafu is funny enough.

Looks like this was uncovered by the Brewnosers, interestingly the IPA recipe Keiths used in the commercial lists Malt Extract, probably something more likely to be used now than when Alexander Keith first made the beer.

The funniest thing is this:
http://www.brewnosers.org/forums/viewto ... 5d5b95efd7
Where someone on the Brewnosers board finds that they lifted out dialogue from a homebrew message board...
...Maybe they hired Margaret Wente to do research.

It is too bad it is an Extract brew since (I am no marketing guy) but it would be kind of an awesome PR move if the recognized the mistake and then decided to make a batch of the recipe they used at their Halifax brewery.icemachine wrote:Looks like this was uncovered by the Brewnosers, interestingly the IPA recipe Keiths used in the commercial lists Malt Extract, probably something more likely to be used now than when Alexander Keith first made the beer.
