There was a discussion amongst bartowers last weekend covering the topic of how to get a better beer selection in the LCBO's.

It appears that there is a strong will in the LCBO to push featured product out fast. That's fine, except that they still have problems stocking adequately in areas that need to be stocked.

The suggestions on improving service are for bartowelers to centralize their buying habits. Right now I think people just go around the entire GTA to buy product wherever they can find it. That's good for the LCBO, because they can just ship product everywhere and the purchasers have to do the legwork.

If we always go to a select group of LCBO's for beer product, then those stores will always have a superior selection.

I'm not sure which stores should be picked, but BV and QQ are probably good starting points for those who drive.

Also, when you buy product, it's better off if you don't let them track you, (ie, cash payment and no air miles.) A third option is to buy in smaller batches, instead of buying everything you can all at once.

For example, I shop at the Atrium, and I make it a point to stop by frequently to purchase a handful of beer each time.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?
