We released our Sgt. Major's I.P.A. at the Winking Judge Beerfest on April 27th to rave reviews. The driving force for this brew comes from Bill Rea and Al Churchill, owners of the 'Judge. Being self-professed Hop Heads, they wanted an ale with lots of hops in the nose and mouth. We believe we delivered this. The Bartowel is also owed a debt of thanks, as I questionned members on the parameters of this beer and also, on what kind of hops I should choose. Through the many responses, I chose Chinook hops, giving the IPA a "West Coast" profile. It was the right choice and I thank you all for your imput, especially Josh Oakes.
Sgt. Major's IPA will appear at The Bow and Arrow soon, and perhaps at C'est What? and Smokeless Joe's, as well as at its "home", the Winking Judge in Hamilton.
Cheers and thanks,
Perry Mason

I will attest that it was a fabulous beer. What was the word? massive.

Anyway, I would recommend everyone pile in the car (or the Go Train) head in to Hamilton and give it a go at its home.

Cheers, Joe.
