I don't know about that specific one, but in general weizenbock does okay. The creamy mouthfeel of the wheat will fade, that's the biggest negative change I can think of. The banana esters tend to become less intense in time as well, with the clove coming to the forefront. Weizenbock usually isn't as intense on the level of esters as weizen due to the increased malt intensity.northyorksammy wrote:March? The goat boy will be close to a year if from original batch. Slim to none. Stone has very specific guidelines about the handling and shipping of their product. Most of which the current LCBO does not adhere to.Baulz wrote:
Ha! Not much chance of Stone Enjoy By coming to the LCBO?
Now that being said, there has been Stone sneak into Ontario at the bar level. I could see something like IPA, Arrogant, Pale Ale or perhaps Old Guardian come in a seasonal release.
But for a special like Enjoy by where they can't fully service all of their existing areas, I would bet against.

That's true, although I thought Sierra Nevada had similar guidelines that the LCBO couldn't meet and we are getting their beer. I think the more likely reason, as you said is that for a beer like Enjoy by there are a ton of places in the US that want it and can't get it, so why would they send it to Canada?cfrancis wrote:Slim to none. If so, wow. Don't they have the smallest production of any of the Trappists? Wiki says 2000 hL, maybe they've expanded production recently?

This is a rather erroneous statement.
