Labatt Prohibition Series

Yes, these will be Stateside only.G.M. Gillman wrote:http://www.labattus.com/prohibition/
Any information on this, is it U.S. release only?
Aside from the name, Labatt US has no connection to Labatt Canada. AB-InBev had to sell off the US operations as part of the merger. It's now owned by North American Breweries, who also own Genesee and a couple of other brands.

Well that's rather ironic, given that "our" Labatt is now owned by the biggest multi-national brewing conglomerate in the world; there's is now a regional independent. I didn't know that.GregClow wrote:Aside from the name, Labatt US has no connection to Labatt Canada.

The big outdoor fermentors are for Labatt Blue products. I wouldn't doubt that all 5 Blue brands are made at the Molson plant.GregClow wrote:If Labatt US is still contracting Molson to brew for them - yes, maybe.saints_gambit wrote:Doesn't that mean it's probably brewed at the Molson Downsview plant?
Specialty stuff is likely done in Rochester where they produce their ale brands.
Interesting that they pick the stubby as a retro package as it was a 60's, 70's & 80's package designed to cut costs on packaging to make each case more profitable. It did not exist during prohibition
