I really enjoyed the porters from last year's autumn release (Anchor, Smuttynose, Acadia). This release a little light. It will be good on my wallet at least.

I'm not sure it could possibly be a lamer release.

Lots of stuff in there in the 85-95 range on BA/RB that I've never tried before.

The only thing I'm really looking forward to here is the Beau's Oktoberfest pack because it'll have their Boom Gose The Dynamite.

I've never had it fresh but I did have a ~2 year old bottle at the Rhino a while ago and it was still pretty darn good.

Curious to see what the other 3 beers end up being though.

This is pretty uninspiring especially after just coming back from a trip out west and enjoying everything BC and Alberta have to offer. I've yet to be impressed with any of the beers they've been bringing in from Denmark. I wish they'd stop take a break from those breweries.
Beer, not just for breakfast anymore.

yeah, amager is terrible, i didn't care for the two beers i had from them so far and won't be revisiting them anytime soon.

nice work on this release lcbo! 95% of my beer money continues to go the states and canada gets maybe 10% of the taxes (since that's about how often i get pulled over)! be better at the beer game already, ontario!

I'm excited to see the Ayinger Oktoberfest coming here for (I think?) the first time. IMO it's the textbook Okt/marzen; I've measured all others available over the last few years in Ontario against this and have been continually disappointed--- I think it blows the likes of Sam Adams, Beau's and Hoffebrau out of the water.

--just to add to my post above, I do like the Black Oak Okt but it's like twice the price of Ayinger....

I'll buy a few of these:
GregClow wrote: 415950 / Hofbrau Dunkel / $3.15 / 500 / 5.5
420323 / Tree Brewing Old School Stout / $5.35 / 650 / 5.5

417873 / VIVEN PORTER / $2.95 / 330 / 7
429498 / Epic COFFEE & FIG IMPERIAL OATMEAL STOUT / $14.35 / 750 / 8
265140 / Weihenstephan Vitus / $3.60 / 500 / 7.7
And these:

132753 / Highballer Pumpkin Ale / $3.95 / 500 / 5.2
417014 / Ayinger Octoberfest / $3.10 / 500 / 5.8
But the rest of the release is a snooze fest. Very unfortunate to see that Pumking, Warlock, Amsterdam Autumn Hop, Nickelbrook Wet Hop, the various U.S. porters from last year, and singles of the Beau's O-Fest are not returning. This is the first time in five years that I haven't made a "haul" trip to the States before the summer, but I will definitely be doing one in the fall based on this release. It looks like this the first significantly scaled-back release since the Board put out that worrisome trade document following the announcement of beer sales in grocery stores.
