It's tough for bars to have special selections of beers in Ontario, since you basically need to get an importers license to do it. Then once you have the license, you actually have to go knocking on brewery doors all around the world to get product to sell. It's obviously a huge overhead for a single location to take on. The guys at Volo have been at this for a long time. They've got contacts all over the place, both with international sellers to get supply and with local bars they can resell to, which justifies the extra effort.

Also sampled a very tart and delicious "Red Wine Saison" but there was no brewer listed and BA/RB don't have any answers.

Foley brothers pieces of 8 iipa. A friend brought this back from Vermont. It looks like it's a one off, which is a shame because it's fucking awesome. Loaded with tropical flavours and perfectly balanced. The best iipa I think I've ever had

I'm having Hofbrau Original right now, I picked it up after going through quite a few Dunkels this week. The Original has a bottling date of August 4th 2015 (Bayview Village location), so I couldn't resist. If you liked the Dunkel, keep a look out for some extremely fresh Hofbrau Original.

It's not good enough to just say it's awesome?

Too bad Andechs isn't there. I'm interested in hearing the comparisons.

I find Andechs incredibly sweet. It's a beautiful spot to drink beer, but haven't fallen in love with the beer itself.
