So I got my hands on a couple growlers of the Lager and Northern 55.

The lager was pretty light but had a nice crispness to it. Very refreshing beer after working outside all day.

The Northern 55 was a malty diacetyl mess.

I'll be heading back home soon so I'm curious to see how the lager stacks up to what I remember the pre-Sharpe Northern Lager was.

It's better IMO, but not the same beer. Be warned if you get a growler the carbonation disappears rather quickly, so finish it off that night. The next day half growler was completely flat.

I'll give full points to the brewery if they resurrect Edelbrau, even if in name only.
