They're in Halifax this year, and Jason from Indie Alehouse and I are doing a talk. If anyone's planning on going, you should come to the talk!
Should be a fun weekend to visit Halifax again. Anyone going?

Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Canadian Brewing Awards & Conference 2023
Looks like Shacklands cleaned up in the Belgian categories, good for them.
And with there being another directly competitive national awards (Canada Beer Cup), they'll only both become more fragmented and not representative of what they claim.
But as the MC of the event on the weekend, seeing happy folks like Muddy York and others who feel gratification for their work during significant biz uncertainty, I'm OK with it all.

Muddy York makes some good beers, so I'm happy they won... even if they paid to play and others didn't.
I used to sell beer. Now I don't.
