Bickford Brewing Co.

Post by Cass »

Was given a couple of cans of Bickford Brewing Dog Park Pale Ale, hadn't heard of before.

Looks like a homebrewer turned contract brewer as it says on the can it's made in Wellington. Some online research and it seems to have launched sometime in the last couple of months.

I can't imagine we'll see too many more contract brew launches in this climate.

Will give it a try over the holiday week.

I stopped by. It's a nice little industrial place. Lots of families. I'd say 50% of people there were kids. I could see how the vibe could sour significantly if nap time was late.

I liked what I had.

Stopped in while I was out and about yesterday. Nice little spot, a good addition to the neighbourhood. On the north side of Harbord at Manning next to a couple of other restaurants. About a half dozen on tap and I think room for a few more. Very "micro" as the brewing equipment is directly behind the bar. The bartender mentioned that they have (and believe still do) some contracting for extra capacity.

Would go back again for sure - makes for a nice stop when touring around the Annex & Little Italy.

What's the zero gravity pint in your first pic?
Brands are for cattle.
Fans are cash cows.
The herd will consume until consumed.
