C'est What Fall Festival 2024

Post by Cass »

Was once one of the must-do events of the season. Still lots of stuff on the list: https://cestwhat.com/beer/
The annual autumn tradition that we started in 1989 returns for another year on Friday September 27 from 5 to 10 PM.

Come for a visit and foster your inner "kid in a candy store" wonder with forty-two choices. The evening will close with a performance by Fool Hearts led by our former beer boss, Eric Walker - pictured above taking a break from prepping for one of our previous festivals.

The full lineup is posted online by clicking here. There is no admission fee, beer sample tickets are $10 for four or $25 for a dozen.

Popped in here for dinner last night - first time I'd been to their mini-fest in a few years. C'est What never seems to change, which is a good thing from my point of view.

I always think this is a good value evening - tokens are $2.50 each, and some stuff (mostly sours and bigger IPAs) need two tickets for a sample, but there's no ticket/entry price. I also love that you can order 20oz or 12oz of anything they have even during the "festival". Really, it's a build your own flight night, but they bring in a few more one-offs than they regularly have.

Plus the schnitzel sandwich was great!

I was in on Friday (by coincidence) and they still had everything on tap, including an excellent Wood Brothers hazy boi.

C'est What remains one of the best pubs in town, IMHO.

Wish I could have gone, but it's certainly one of the best in the city.

Poutine is crispier than normal and I like it.
