I vaguely remember them being expensive when I was there years ago. Have you ever been to Brewed and Bottled in Lewiston?Cass wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 8:45 am From PG's site:
I wonder what the lineups are like nowadays. No pricing information, so I have to suspect they'll be at least somewhat priced to not move, so they'll earn money of off the diehards & stock will last for the day. I recall the last time I went to Premier Gourmet the prices were quite high so I think I just bought some beer at Wegman's instead. The annual Bourbon County Beer Release is here, and Premier Gourmet has the best selection available in WNY! In addition to the 2024 Bourbon County Brand Original Stout, we'll have lots of different varieties available, including inventory from past vintages!
There will be 17 different varieties available in total, and each customer can get up to 1 bottle of each variety. Get to the store early to have your best chance at getting the bottle you'd like. While supplies last!

Brewed and Bottled is small, but with a mighty beer list. Lot's of local stuff, not as much from beyond NY state.
I know many who love it, and always stop there in their "Buffalo" trips.
I want to like it more, but have never felt comfortable enough staying for a pint. Not sure why.
I usually find a few cans/bottles and high tail it out of there.

It rings a bell, but not sure if I've been there. I've only been to Lewiston once or twice and I know it has a nice little downtown. I rarely would make a trip specifically there and when I'm going through Buffalo I usually just want to get back to Canada.
I find myself not terribly interested in these specialty can stores due to their pricing. I'd rather just pick up a Bell's / Sierra Nevada pack or some seasonal variety pack at the grocery store.
All that aside B&B seems like a cool place and they have a great selection. Will stop next time I'm around for sure.
Thanks. I am not thrilled about paying boutique prices, but pricing visibility is pretty opaque around the area.Cass wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 9:20 amIt rings a bell, but not sure if I've been there. The reliable, but unavailable American breweries like you mentioned are a much better deal. I know Trader Joe's is fairly competitive and it is such a shock that there is a grocery chain(s) that have good public appreciation, compared to ours that are just many levels of distaste.
Got everything I wanted between a Wegmans and Consumers without having to line up. It ain't 2014 anymore.
