46 North (Sudbury)

Post by S. St. Jeb »

I was reading an article about buying Canadian, and it had a link to madeinca.ca

I went there, and they had a list of recent additions which included: Beer: 46 North Brewing

Haven't heard of them. Went to their website, but they appear to be missing the common "About Us" section, so I have no idea how long they have been around.

Don't know if they have inventory of all, but they have 13 beers listed in their on-line store.

Guess I could have Googled them before I posted the above. Seems they've been around for almost six years. :o

I see that I had them on OBDI, so I must have learned about them at the time. But yeah, other than that, never heard of them either :)

I’ve never had any of their stuff, but I remember hearing about them 2-3 years ago and heard good things.

I definitely had something of theirs this summer but I can't remember what, where, or whether it was good. So uh... yay?

I stopped by a couple years ago. Pretty cool spot. Beers were decent but nothing spectacular. Surprised by the surprise here hah, I thought this place was pretty well known. It was by far the top result when looking for breweries in the Sudbury area.

Been grabbing stuff from them since the pandemic - I usually grab a few cans on the way back home. They occasionally hit it out of the park with their hoppy offerings.

Been there twice, definitely the best brewery in Northern Ontario imo. Cool space, lots of IPAs (mainly hazy), and overall the beers are good. Not great, but I don't think anything in Northern Ontario is great, so this is the best of the good.
I used to sell beer. Now I don't.
