Howard I'd love a lift up to Creemore for a get-together. I could even give you $10 for gas. I think a central pick-up place for Bar towellers would be Union Station. As for beer I could bring up some Chimay or Rochefort 8

Good idea...however, if possible, there should be a central pickup option for those unable to go.

As I said, I would be happy to host and collect the beer. Most weekdays would be fine and Fridays are usually best (although we have more production early in the week). The only weekend day that is available is Dec 7. I will leave it with those of you who have ordered to decide. Unfortunately, I do not have any centralized distribution point in Toronto.

I think this will have to be done with two options.

a) Pick a date for a Creemore visit (which I think is a great idea, thanks for offering) and then those that want to visit and pick up that day/night can do so.

b) All those unavailable or uninterested in visiting/picking up their beer at Creemore should have that beer picked up prior to Howard taking the rest. I thought the original idea for that was that Peter would have it at S.Joe's one evening and people would pop by, pick up and pay.

If we can sort that out it'll make it easier for everyone and ultimately simpler for Howard. How does that sound?

While you guys have been busy trying to figure out how to put this deal together, our stock of Xmas beers has been going quickly with much greater demand this year than in years past. Unfortunately, we cannot hold this stock much longer and may in fact not have enough Corsendonk Xmas to fill the order (we are down to 2 cases I believe).

I will be at the Royal York tasting this Wednesday and I suggest we try to do this then. I would love to go up to Creemore, but the only weekend day Howard has offered is the 7th and I doubt we could get the group together on a weekday.

If anyone wants anything else from our portfolio, I would be happy to bring it along with the Xmas beers on Wednesday.

Regards,

Geoffrey.

OK, if we're gonna get the Esprit Xmas stuff at the Royal York, I guess we should tally up the final list. Here's what I've figured it to be:

Corsendonk Xmas.... MM JW GC DD KT SK CA SI JC AS
Bush de Noel....... MM JW GC DD KT SK CA SI

AS .. Andicus
MM .. Mississauga Matt
JC .. Joe Cappadocia
GC .. Greg Clow
JW .. Jon Walker
DD .. Dan-D-Man
KT .. Kent
SK .. skaghevn (Rob)
CA .. Cass
SI .. SirIsm

There are 10 of us who want the Corsendonk, and there are only two cases to go around, so I guess we'll get 5 bottles each, with two people only getting 4. I'll volunteer to be one of the unlucky ones if that makes it easier.

And there are 8 of us in for the Bush de Noel, so that's easy - we can get two cases and take 6 bottles each, or one case and take 3 bottles each. I'm fine with either option, so I guess it's up to Esprit to see how much stock they have.

Can one of you fine folks at Esprit let us know the per-bottle cost so we'll know how much to bring with us?

I will be unavailable for the Royal York pick-up, so if that's the go-forward plan, I will have to drop out.

I imagine that someone will be able to pick up the stuff for those who can't make it and hold it until the next gathering.

I can't offer to do so myself, as I may not be coming straight home from the Royal York and will be travelling by TTC, so lugging around my own share will be about all I can handle. But hopefully someone else (perhaps with a car?) can take this on. Anyone?

Counted the inventory today and we have 4 cases of Corsendonk Xmas and 6 cases of Bush de Noel still available. Forum posters who will be attending the event at the Royal York or who have made arrangements with a fellow Bar Toweler to pick up on their behalf, need to confirm their orders before Wednesday morning.

Please bring exact change, as I will be unlikely to have any.

Greg, the cost is $3.10/bottle. It has been so long since this thread started that you must have forgotten that it was mentioned in the 2nd posting on this subject.

Regards,

Geoffrey.

I've decided to place my own order with Esprit, so I'm going to have to bow out. Sorry folks.

Here's the final list for the Xmas beers from Esprit:

Corsendonk Xmas.... MM JW GC DD KT SK CA SI KP AS
Bush de Noel....... MM JW GC DD KT SK CA SI KP

AS .. Andicus
MM .. Mississauga Matt
GC .. Greg Clow
JW .. Jon Walker
DD .. Dan-D-Man
KT .. Kent
SK .. skaghevn (Rob)
CA .. Cass
SI .. SirIsm

Assuming that we're getting two cases of each, here's what we'll be getting per person:

Corsendonk Xmas - 8 people get 5 bottles each, 2 people get 4 bottles each

Bush de Noel - 3 people get 6 bottles each, 6 people get 5 bottles each

Since Joe has dropped out, that eliminates 3 of my other selections. If I can, I'd like to squeeze in on the Bush de Noel. I'll volunteer to take the lower amount in each case.

So we'd end up with (2 cases):

Corsendonk Xmas - 8 people get 5 bottles each, 2 people get 4 bottles each

Bush de Noel - 8 people get 5 bottles each, 2 people get 4 bottles each

Then again, if we wanted to do 3 cases each, we could have 8 people get 7 bottles, 2 people get 8 bottles.

Sorry if I'm making this difficult.

Geoffrey,

I was at the Royal York tasting but didn't see you there. I unfortunately had to leave by 7pm so I'm unsure if you did make it and distributed the order to those on hand. If there's still a means of buying the beer I requested then great. If not and that was my only chance then...too bad for me I guess. Let me know.

Shoot! I didn't see the Wednesday part of the order requirement. Can someone let me know what happened?

I can't imagine all 10 people were available for the pickup or had arranged for someone else to pick up their order within 1.5 days.

Anyone?

Andrew
