That's right. Finally after receiving numerous emails about: Terrible, U11, Frangante and Quel-que chose, the LCBO has given some consignment space. This will be made available at the warehouse on cooper street. All these brands will be made available to the general public as of late January 2003. Since people are always asking for these specialty beers from Unibroue we had to bring them into the province. They are only available in 12 packs and are 750ml bottles (All except the QQ-chose they are in 500ml bottles).

Please keep in mind that our new Mix 8-pack will be in the province later this month. It is the Ephemere collection series. Apple, cranberry, peach and the original ephemere. This is available only at your self-serve beer stores in Ontario.

I will start submitting information about Unibroue. If there are enough participants perhaps with the aid of this website and allocating funds we can get a price on a bus and visit Unibroue and McAuslan and the likes of other breweries in Quebec. Drop me an email. clefebvre@unibroue.com

Note: With assisting the lads at the Royal York craft beers celebration I am in the process of booking another event at another hotel in the city. This time we will try to get more breweries to participate.

Have a successful 2003 bartowel readers and may you have all the best beers you can get your hands on. I started mine with the Alaskan smoked porter!

Cheers to a thirsty new year!

Claude Lefebvre, Sales Manager, Unibroue.

Welcome to the site Claude.

I think the Quebec trip is an excellent idea. I don't think, though, that there are enough of us here to fill a bus yet. We could rent one of those 10 passanger vans. Or, we could work in conjunction with a bar like the Winking Judge here in Hamilton.

Personally, I'd like to see a Bar Towel event during the Mondial. I know this is a busy time for the breweries, but a tour of Unibroue & McAuslan might entice a few more of us to go.

Cheers, Joe.

Well if there is such a roadtrip, I would like to come and join you in Montreal (via Ottawa and my trusty Saturn), meet some of the bartowellers and maybe show you the beer sites (Im a Montreal expat).

Is there a concrete date for the release of the Ephemere 8-pack? I've been checking recently, but haven't found it so far.

I can't help you out with a concrete date for the Ephemere mix 8pack. We have decided to introduce this wheat based 8pack only for the spring. We figured it would be more appropriate for this time of season as opposed to the winter months. I will keep you posted should I get an exact date.

Take care. Claude.

Thanks Claude.

Now I've got even more to look forward to this Spring! New beer, and no Winter.
