Yawwwn. Whoa you guys should really tone down some of these discussions as all this excitement, is making me thirsty. (A chimp on roller skates would make ME thirsty)

So lets try and start a discussion on something that may make the mortal Bartoweler cringe, that's right......mixing beer,

So one glorious day I had a six of Trois Pistoles and Three KLB Raspberries left.

BAMN

1/3 Klb 23 Trois Pistoles and what I had in my hand was a beer that was still dark and strong and full of flavour (Like me), but left a nice little raspberry finish, It took the stronger edge off of the Trois P.

Still to this day I don't know why I did this and I have never done it since. Do you think I need to talk to a specialist (Like the one Bailey is seeing), or is it natural to experiment at my age.

Anyone had success with this before? Should I try it again? So confused.

Yes, Tar Bowel I have mixed beers before. I was a little intoxicated, however the pouring procedures are as follows:

1/4 - Apple Juice
3/4 - La fin du monde.

Obviously when sober my favourite is:

1/4- Orange Juice
3/4 - Blanche de Chambly. Great for Brunches.

Guinness and KLB Raspberry wheat are a pretty tasty combination. Had it three years ago on a patio in Peterborough.

One of my favourite neighbourhood brunch spots, Rustic Cosmo (Queen & Dufferin), does the O.J. and Chambly mixture as their version of a mimosa. Lovely stuff.

The Raspberry Wheat and stout mixture sounds really interesting. I wonder how it would work using St. Ambroise instead of Guinness... hmmmm...

I think Josh had the St. Ambroise/Framboise mixture at the Royal York event, or something thereabouts.

Not sure how I feel about mixing beers. Though there certainly is precedent for it (i.e., gueuze, Berliner Kindl Weisse with raspberry syrup or green Waldmeister essence). I have also had a friend tell me that she was asked in Belgian if she wanted her beer served "the womanly way." I think it was a strong Belgian ale with some sort of cherry or raspberry syrup. And, isn't there talk of Boon blending a cherry lambic with something top secret from New Belgium. I'm certainly looking forward to that (if I can get my hands on it). So I guess I'm not totally opposed.
