Keith's Stout

Post by aeroeng »

Heard on the radio this evening an ad about Keith's Stout, when did this come out, and where in Toronto can it be found, considering it was a Toronto radio station?

I imagine it is available at any location that is selling the "premium" line of Labatt's. In London it is available at The Elephant and Castle.

Great - another pretend product!! (Can you see light through it?)

I don't blame them, it's good marketing since people already accept Guinness and Keith's as major brands.

- update - predictably, RateBeer folk feel it's not legit, and then I saw this review:

What does this mean for Stout in general- will this promo make people try more of them, or will LaBatt just be scaring people off ALL the great British brews after folks try Keith's Stags Head Stout?

Well its truer to the style than the IPA is, but that doesn't say much. Has a bit of a burnt coffee aftertaste. I've had it at WEGZ stadium bar.

Easy now, according to the brewer in the article in Winter Taps, Stag Head uses only the finest malt extracts.

Yeah it wasn't very good at all. Yes you could see light through it. It was somewhat watery. I wasn't expecting much at all from it and my expectations were met..LOL. You have to credit them for trying too broaden their costumers palate I guess.
