I am setting up a bit of a movie site bar crawl. Sort of a tour of Toronto including places where movies were shot.

Lakeview Lunch (diner) and McVeighs (Church St.) were in a great movie called "The Boondock Saints".

Upfront Bar and Grill (106 Front E) was apparently in "Good Will Hunting". There was supposedly a bar on the Danforth in that movie as well, anyone know what it is?

The Distillery District. Countless movies and tv shows....

Any other suggestions? Doesn't necessarily have to be a bar or a restaurant. Could just be a cool place.

You could write a book on this!

Great idea though - a movie pubcrawl. Would make a great pub walk.

You can find lots of specific placed used in films & tv shows here:

and

There's tons of places over the years.

Contact Colin at The Academy of Spherical Arts as there are always movies/TV series being shot right by the bar.

In fact, when I left the place from when they had the beer dinner a couple of months ago, there was some film shooting going on.

The Plan:
Start off at Lakeview Lunch, a diner found in <a href="http://www.theboondocksaints.com">"The Boondock Saints"</a>, Cocktail and a bunch of TV movies. Walk down to the Gladstone hotel, also in TBS, the tv series Witchblade and a bunch of other stuff.
Optional: Walk to Paddock Tavern (Murder at 1600)

Take Queen St. Streetcar across town to Stoopy's Tavern (Cocktail, Frequency, The Ref). Walk to The Courthouse Chamber Lounge on Adelaide (TBS, Misc.)

McVeigh's on Church (TBS) and across the street is the Ontario Specialty Company, a novelty store (Good Will Hunting). Down church to Front St and the Flat Iron Firkin, formerly the Down Under Pub (Exit Wounds, Three to Tango, Misc. ) Down front to the Upfront Grill (Good will hunting).

The Hargrave pub is also in GWH but is a bit far away (1106 Danforth).

Packs in a lot of places so I may skip one or two. Depends how many people come with me as well. Probably make it an all afternoon event.

Was she an ex at the time, or is she an ex now? Your answer may influence my decision to visit.

The beer selection at The Gladstone is pitiful. Unless you're craving an ice cold glass of Rickard's Honey Brown, it's probably not worth the visit.

The beer at the Paddock is much better, but it's quite a hike from the Lakeview to there - close to half an hour walk, I would guess.
