This was one of the very good traditional gueuze I had this summer in Belgium. It is certainly better than anything I have ever seen in Ontario, by far (until recently when Cantillon was brought in - thanks Pete). I just picked up a samuel smith gift pack and inside was some promotional material about other beers carried by the agent. Lindeman's Cuvée René was one of these beers.

Esprit, since the sam smith was in your portfolio, is this a product that you have access to? What are the chances you could bring some in? This Gueuze, by the way, is nearly as complex as Cantillon and certainly a little more palatable for the uninitiated big Gueuze drinker.

Although we are still technically the agent for Lindemans, they withdrew from all export markets except the UK and the US a few years ago. The launch of their lambics on draft was so incredibly successful that they simply cannot keep up with demand so they opted out of all their other export markets to focus where the volume was. I can certainly get my hands on some Cuvee Rene through a third party but the quantities would be small and not very worthwhile for us but I'll take a look at it.
