I do enjoy faro quite a bit too. When I was in Belgium recently I had a draught faro from Cantillon. Good stuff. BTW, that was a shameless gloat about my trip, sorry
Regarding Veronus, I do believe they are getting exclusives of their own. Good for them - it's a great place and worth people taking the trip up to Pbo.

Cass, if the only faro you've had was Cantillon, you should try the bottled faro, if only to allow you to appreciate even more what you experienced at the lambic brewer. Faro by definition is a young lambic (usually 1 year old lambic which is an old beer) with brown sugar added. The lambic is well developed already prior and the sweetness just smooths out what could otherwise be confused for a young gueuze. To add sugar to a bottled beer you have to kill the beer first (read pasturize), otherwise you will get bottle bombs.
Still it is nice to see a Faro come accross the Atlantic. I believe this is the first time I have ever seen one in Canada.
Did you make the trip to Biersels while in Brussels (to visit Drie Fontenen? That was the highlight of my trip.

Matt's right - I remember a Faro from the 'legendary' Belgian beer release from back then. There was also a faro in a Mort Subite gift pack a number of years ago.
Unfortunately, I was unable to get to Beersel on my visit. I was only in Belgium for 3 days, so I did Brussels and Bruges. On the 3rd day (Sunday) I probably could have done Beersel, but I realized once I got there that nothing is open on Sunday, so I didn't bother making the trip.
