Hey,

I'm in the process of organizing a fund raiser for a film project I'm involved with entitled "Greetings". We are planning the event for December 9th at the Centre for the Arts on College St. We're currently contacting businesses and organizations in hopes of acquiring goods and/or services to raffle off at the fund raiser as well as trying to sort out some beer sponsorship for the event. Ideally a brewer might be able to donate some beer or provide it to us at a discount in return for exposure and advertising both at the event, in the publicity for the event and in the credits of the film itself.

The creative team involved are top notch. Our various projects, both individually and collaboratively, have been shown at major film festivals around the world and have won awards as well. As is always the case with Canadian film making there's almost no private or government money available to assist with financing which is why we're having the fund raiser.

As I'm sure not everyone here is interested in reading replies to this post please contact me privately or through my personal e-mail at thebig3@accessv.com. I'd be happy to provide futher details to anyone who can assist with supplies, can donate worthwhile items for the auction, or would like to volunteer.

Thanks,
Jon Walker

Just a quick update to thank everyone who came out to our fundraiser last night but in particular a HUGE thanks to our friends in the beer/hospitality industry who assisted us.

Thanks you to Ian & Ian at Mill Street for being our draft beer suppliers. Thanks also to Claude at Unibroue, Ron Keefe at the Granite and Paul Flint with Rubiyat. Your donated raffle prize contributions were really popular. As promised you will all be getting sponsor credits in the film. We also raised over 300 pounds of canned goods for the food bank and they also wanted to express their gratitude.
