Corne Du Diable
Route Des Epices
Corne was alright, but I'm not a big fan of IPAs. It was quite refreshing though.
Route was just terrible. An interesting taste for sure, the smell was my favourite part, but as a beer I just don't see it working. Struggled to finish it.
Also picked up the Derniere, but haven't tried that yet.

I hope you've kept a bottle or 5 for the "Brew Monkey" that helped with this?grub wrote:oh yeah, i did. we need to come up with a name for that one. "double wood aged peated and smoked eised wee heavy" is a bit long...bartle wrote:I think you forgot the homebrewed Iced Wee Heavy.
Anyways, just had my last, wonderful bottle of Ninkasi Triceratops Double IPA, followed by a fresh bottle of Gulden Draak; haven't had a bottle of this for years. I forgot what a wonderfully fruity, port-like ale this was.

Does anyone know which of the Derniere volonte from the DDC release is the right one?

or

neither of them have the right alcohol average, so I'm not sure which is the correct one. It's probably the first one, but I just want to make sure I put my review under the right one.
Fantastic beer by the way, drinking it now, wish I had picked more of these up.

Double Chocolate Cherry Stout from 2008. How the hell does a 5.5% ale age so well?
This has loads of good sour cherry on the nose and palate, along with a mellow bitter chocolate.
Ales of this low alcohol ain't suppose to age this well..............if you believe what you read/hear; Brava Ken & Adrian!!!!
