The Bar Towel

We sell glassware for most of our Belgian brands at fairly reasonable prices, certainly less than you'd pay ordering from the U.S.. As we speak we have glasses for Duvel, Chimay, Orval, Mort Subite, Bush, Floreffe, Westmalle, Rochefort, La Trappe, Maredsous, Corsendonk, Corsendonk Christmas,Gouden Carolus.

I should also add that we have Duvel, Chimay and Cooper's t-shirts as well as a handful of small quantities of others such as Samuel Smith, Lindemans, Xingu, Pike, etc...

It looks like my quest to get a case of Orval will have to end. Three different LCBOs have told me it's impossible to get a case for different reasons (there is stock only in Ottawa, the computer says there is no stock anywhere, the stock is marked as reserved in LCBO database, blah, blah...). The most helpful ones in the north part of the city were the guys from the new Maple LCBO who said they would even order more than a case if the supplier would contact the manager. Until then, it looks that I won't have my beer for this Christmas. Who knows... maybe I'll be more lucky next year.

There have been numerous problems getting Orval out to retail. The biggest problem is that beer arrived late for the November promo and, at this time of year, the LCBO warehouse is an absolute zoo and there is no rhyme or reason to what products get shipped out and when. I have been assured that, as we speak, Orval is hitting store shelves and will be available before Xmas. Perhaps some of you out there can let me know what is going on in your local stores as far as availability,i.e. let me know if you see Orval out there and in which stores. Thanks...Peter

I was in the Queen's Quay store yesterday and they had received a good load of Orval so it looks like it's finally getting out there.
